Franchisee spotlight: Interspan-AQUILA in the UK
In this newsletter, we are pleased to present Interspan-AQUILA as our featured AQUILA franchisee. In each upcoming newsletter, we will introduce one franchisee from our growing international network, highlighting its market, team, projects and development journey.
Interspan-AQUILA is based in Shepperton, United Kingdom, and serves the UK market for structural inspections, non-destructive testing, digital-twin recording of inspection data, and asset assessment. Their work focuses on helping asset owners, engineers and developers better understand the condition of existing structures and make informed decisions on repair, retrofit and redevelopment.
Strong leadership and dedicated technical team
The UK team is led by Marc Ó Dálaigh, Managing Director, supported by Haydn Kirrage, Maya Panicker, Simone Tomai and Salah-Ud-Din Butt. The team has been carefully built with the right mix of leadership, operational capability, analysis competence and site execution capacity.
Successful projects across the UK
Interspan-AQUILA has already delivered several important projects, including Edinburgh Airport Multi-Storey Car Park, Kingsway Student Accommodation in London, and the Fleet Street Office Building. These projects included advanced NDT methods, reinforcement detection, condition assessment, “digital twin” creation and structured technical reporting.
Strong sales performance in ten months
Their commercial development has been very strong. Interspan-AQUILA secured ten projects within ten months and exceeded its approximately GBP 200,000 budget target for the first nine months by a factor of three. Since April, they have added another two projects, confirming strong market traction and client demand.
Building technical and marketing capability
Interspan-AQUILA completed the applicable training modules and participated in AQUILA’s 2025 annual conference in Istanbul including presentation of their work there. They also worked closely with our Key Account Manager and developed strong marketing visibility through a dedicated microsite on the AQUILA website. Their next step is to expand into additional countries through national franchise structures.

Interspan-AQUILA’s microsite on the AQUILA website saves the need to create a separate website – just one of the ways AQUILA reduces marketing effort for franchisees, enabling them to focus on winning and executing projects.
Franchisees can choose to introduce their team members on their AQUILA microsite, with individual contact details if they wish.
